Hello and welcome to the Hartly Elementary webpage. Thank you for taking time to learn more about us! I am excited to be Hartly’s principal and work together with the students, staff, families, and community. As a former teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, I know that no school year is the same. This year will be no different. It will be a great learning adventure that we will take together as a school community.
Our staff is committed and connected to the community. Many of them have children that attended the school, and some are even former Hartly Elementary students. This connection to community supports a continuous partnership rooted in the goal of having well rounded students that become productive, global citizens.
As a Leader in Me school, we believe that everyone in our school community is a leader. This includes staff members, families, community members, and especially our students. The 7 Habits of Happy Kids are taught, modeled, and reinforced so students understand that leadership starts from within, working well with others, and remembering to take care of themselves. The 7 Habits are:
