We Can Code, Yes We Can!!!!

We Can Code, Yes We Can
Hartly Elementary students, like all of the other Capital School District students, will be participating in Hour of Code again this year. The Hour of Code is a global movement hosted by Computer Science Education Week and www.code.org that reaches tens of millions of students in 180+ countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. This introduction helps students to understand that anyone can learn the basics of coding and have fun doing it.

Hartly students will join the rest of the world for the official Hour of Code week from December 3rd-9th but will be exploring coding in technology and STEAM for the entire  month of December. Students will also be exploring unplugged coding by using the binary alphabet and binary coding to make decorations for our holiday tree outside of the cafetorium.

The students look forward to this every year but remember, it’s fun for adults too!!!
